Check

Methodology

How CabinFit checks bag dimensions

CabinFit compares your packed bag dimensions with published airline baggage dimensions, source links, and last-checked dates. It is a dimensional planning tool, not a guarantee of airport acceptance.

Use official airline sources and last-checked dates before you pack.

01

Published rule data

Each airline rule stores published personal item or carry-on dimensions, fare notes, source URL, source type, confidence level, and last checked date. Rules may vary by fare type, route, aircraft, airport staff, packing, or ticket conditions.
02

How measurements are checked

Measure the packed outside dimensions of your bag, including wheels, handles, and pockets. The checker converts inches to centimeters when needed and compares all six possible orientations, so a bag may match the listed dimensions if it can be rotated.
03

Result wording

CabinFit says whether a bag matches or exceeds published dimensions. It does not say your bag will be accepted, because final decisions can depend on ticket conditions, aircraft, route, airline staff, weight, and updated policies.
04

Official sources

CabinFit keeps official source links visible where available. Automated checks re-read source pages to confirm the stored dimensions still appear there and to catch broken links, while any change to stored rules is reviewed and applied manually. Always verify your allowance with your ticket and the official airline page before travel.
05

Data health windows

A dimensions-source match is marked Recent for 45 days, Source checked from day 46 through day 120, Outdated from day 121 through day 180, and Recheck required after 180 days. These labels describe only when the published dimensions were last found on the source page; they do not cover fare, weight, route scope, or guarantee that a policy has not changed sooner.
06

Manual rule updates

CabinFit does not use real-time airline APIs. An automated helper periodically re-reads official baggage pages to confirm that stored dimensions still appear there; a confirmed match can refresh the last-checked date. It does not check weights, fare conditions, or rule scopes, and any change to a stored rule is applied manually after human review.
